Finance Circuit corrects substantive errors and assesses fair complaints about accuracy, attribution, disclosure and editorial treatment.
1. Report a concern
Email hello@thefinancecircuit.com. Include:
- the address of the page;
- the exact statement or omission at issue;
- why you believe it is inaccurate or materially incomplete;
- a reliable source that supports the requested change; and
- your relationship to the subject, where relevant.
2. How it is assessed
The published claim, cited material and any new evidence are reviewed. Finance Circuit may contact the requester, author, source or affected party for clarification. A request is judged on evidence and materiality, not on whether the conclusion is favourable to the requester.
3. Possible outcomes
- Correction: an inaccurate material statement is changed.
- Clarification: accurate wording is expanded because a reasonable reader could misunderstand it.
- Update: later information is added and identified by date.
- No change: the available evidence supports the published account or the request concerns a difference of opinion rather than fact.
- Removal: material is removed when correction is insufficient, publication cannot be justified, or law or safety requires it.
4. Correction notices
A substantive correction should state what changed and the date. Minor spelling, grammar, formatting or link repairs may be made without a notice when meaning is unchanged. Headline, chart or social-post errors are corrected in the place where they appeared when reasonably possible.
5. Editorial complaints
For a broader complaint about fairness, disclosure, privacy or editorial conduct, use the same email address with the subject “Finance Circuit editorial complaint.” Explain the desired resolution and include supporting material. The operator reviews the matter and communicates the outcome using the contact details supplied.
